2021 Learn to Row Summer Program

Colorado Junior Crew

Information and Registration

CJC's Learn-to-Row Summer (LTR) Program is designed for kids who love the water and want to try a new sport.  These sessions introduce middle and high school-age kids (13-18) to sweep rowing and sculling, as well as rowing safety, both on and off the water.

Sessions are offered four days each week during each program (Monday-Thursday) from 7:00 - 9:00 AM at the Boulder Reservoir.  Holiday weeks will be three day sessions (Tuesday-Thursday).

Enrollment is limited in each session.  CJC will require a minimum number of participants in order for the courses to be conducted.

Learn to Row Scull.   This is an introductory course to learn how to scull (row with two oars in both hands.). Training will take place in a four person sculling shell called a "coxed quad."  The class size is limited to 5/session.

Learn to Row Sweeps.  This course is designed to teach the basic skill sets for rowing sweep boats (one oar with two hands).  Training will take place in a four person sweep boat called a "coxed quad".   The class size is limited to 5/session

Athletes can enroll in one or both of the Learn to Row courses and in no particular order.

Athletes wishing to repeat LTR Scull or LTR Sweep must complete both LTR courses and will taken from a waitlist.  Please email to be placed on a LTR repeat waitlist.
