August 20 - November 7, 2018
Colorado Junior Crew is the premier rowing club in Colorado for athletes in grades 8-12 (age 12-18). We are a "no cut" program, welcoming rowers of all skill levels. Our professional coaching staff has extensive rowing and coaching experience and we look forward to the opportunity to share this life-long sport with Colorado teens.
Are you new to the sport and not sure that you're ready to commit for the entire Fall Session? CJC offers a three-week trial period during Fall Session. Sign up and give rowing a try. If you decide that the sport isn't for you, you can cancel anytime during the trial period and receive a refund for 50% of the program fees.
CJC practice schedules are based on the athlete's age at the start of the session as well as experience level, competitive desire, and ability.
Athletes new to the sport (Learn-to-Row) and those who started rowing AFTER June 1, 2018 (Novices) may attend practice a maximum of 4 days and a minimum of 3 days per week.
It is strongly advised that Novice/Learn-to-Row athletes under 15 years of age at the start of Fall Session attend a maximum of 3 practices per week to ensure sport-life-school balance and to ease into the unique physical demands of rowing. Athletes should maintain a consistent practice attendance schedule each week throughout Fall Session.
Athletes who started rowing prior to June 1, 2018 are expected to attend practice 4 or 5 days each week.
Experienced rowers under the age of 15 at the start of Fall Session should attend practice 4 days each week and should plan to maintain the same days each week throughout Fall Session. Those over 15 should plan to attend practice 5 days a week.
A limited number of excused/unexcused absences are permitted during the session.
Fee and additional program details follow on the "Information" page of the registration form.
